Some Magical Poetry

snow melts slowly
small rays of sunshine, escape
this gloomy day
droplets tumbling down drainpipes
crafting a slow, steady beat

pulsing steady
grey shadows, meet
grey gardens
mulch mornings, and
soggy afternoons

rubber boots race
hop over cracks
hide behind cars,
wallow in puddles
march to the drizzling soundtrack

red raincoat
a beacon of spring,
underneath icy blankets
tongue tasting droplets
fingertips perusing icicles

a gloomy day,
in between better ones.
still, nothing short of magical
